Notes: Last April, Acid Bath reunited and played their first show in 28 years, so I flew to New Orleans with my lady to eat a bunch of crawfish and attend the gig. Fortunately for us, both the crawfish and the show were absolutely amazing. Hailing from Houma, Louisiana, Acid Bath are a weird band in the very best of ways— psychedelic gospel metal? dirty punk bayou blues? — and are a lot bigger now than during their initial 6 year run as an active band. Their singer, Dax Riggs, is a fantastic lyricist as well as having one of the most unique voices in underground music— if you get a chance too see them, do so before they go away again.
